KeepSafe Music Therapy was founded by Steffi Tassos Wohlsifer, MS MT-BC NICU-MT, and is conveniently located at the historic Cogswell House in downtown Tallahassee, Florida.
KSMT provides music therapy services in homes and facilities located in Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, and Wakulla counties. Services may be administered in the privacy of a client’s homes as well as in nursing homes, mental health treatment and rehabilitative centers, hospitals, drug and alcohol programs, veteran centers, schools, and correctional facilities.
Research indicates that clients presenting with a variety of mental, behavioral, and physiological health issues benefit enormously from the clinical uses of evidence-based music therapy interventions administered by trained professionals certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
Our music therapists are certified by the CBMT which grants the Music Therapy - Board Certified (MT-BC) credential to music therapists who have demonstrated the minumum standards required to practice in the profession. Additionally, our therapists have specialized training in neonatal intensive care and carry the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Music Therapy (NICU-MT) certification.
